We hold key patents approved by the USPTO and are preparing to publish groundbreaking scientific results. *Job Summary* We're looking for a bold, hands-on Mechanical Engineer to join our Science and Research Team, reporting directly to our Chief Science Officer. You'll design, build, operate, and improve experimental systems spanning optical science, plasma science, and nuclear physics — integrating mechanical components with vacuum, electrical, diagnostic, and plasma systems. You'll work side-by-side with a multi-disciplinary team of experimentalists, theorists, and simulation specialists to push the boundaries of fusion research. Candidates of all experience levels are encouraged to apply. *Duties* * Design, build, assemble, and troubleshoot mechanical and electro-mechanical experimental systems * Prepare SolidWorks designs, engineering drawings, and machining/fabrication orders for experimental equipment * Integrate mechanical components with vacuum, electrical, diagnostic, and plasma systems * Operate, improve, and modify experimental setups, including selecting appropriate materials, components, and fabrication methods * Read blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to determine assembly methods and sequencing * Identify and acquire the materials and components needed to conduct experiments * Capture and document experimental results, and collaborate closely with scientists, electrical engineers, and simulation teams *Skills* * Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related field required. * Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Physics preferred * Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly, precision machining, CAD/CAM workflows, and material selection * Proficiency in SolidWorks * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * 2+ years of experience in a research laboratory environment * Proficiency in LabVIEW * Experience with mechanical fabrication methods (lathes, mills, drill presses, etc.) * Working knowledge of vacuum systems, plasma diagnostics, or high-voltage lab equipment * A curious, innovative mindset and strong problem-solving skills Join us at Alpha Ring US to be part of a pioneering team dedicated to shaping a sustainable future through innovative clean energy technologies! *Alpha Ring Is an Equal Opportunity Employer* Alpha Ring US Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
