Maintenance Manager

PurposeThe maintenance manager is responsible for the management and coordination of all mechanical and electrical work in the facility. Lead in the execution of preventive and predictive maintenance programs and inventory tracking procedures.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the maintenance team and provide support in a 24/7 operating environment.Ensure safety of all team members and contractors working in the plant or department by driving continuous improvement. This includes supporting all corporate safety programs; developing SOP's, identifying and eliminating hazards, and enforcing all safety rules & regulationsEnsure compliance with all standards and programs (safety, environmental, quality, maintenance and manufacturing policies and procedures) within area of responsibilityLead staff developmentForecast, develop, and manage the maintenance budgetChampion the utilization of EAM in their areas of responsibilityWork cooperatively with other departments to meet plant objectives, diagnose complex equipment problems, meet plant goals and manage department budgetManage and oversee parts and inventory storesWork closely with engineering on developing plans for improvementsLead the Capex justification and approval process for the plantInitiate & lead in process improvement, cost reduction and capital project programsWork closely with internal and external customers to accomplish plant objectivesPerform other duties as necessaryDemonstrated leader with Roseburg's Core ValuesRequired QualificationsTen (10) plus years directly related maintenance management experience, or any combination of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the key duties of this positionKnowledge of plant equipment, operations, predictive/preventive maintenance systems and effective project management practicesAbility to work in and maintain a highly functional team environmentAbility to work well with all levels of internal management, staff and vendorsExcellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skillsStrong problem solving and analytical skillsExcellent organizational, prioritization, and time management skillsDemonstrated organizational, budgeting and computer skillsAbility to effectively troubleshoot machinery through the use of blue prints, P&ID schematics and root/cause failure analysisPreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in engineering (electrical, mechanical)Experience in wood products facilitiesAbout Roseburg Forest ProductsFounded in 1936, Roseburg Forest Products is a privately held company based in Springfield, Oregon.
