Basic Purpose and ObjectiveApplications Engineer to design and specify installation systems for mechanically attached fasteners. PROFIL specializes in mechanically attached fasteners (MAF) both in die (Transfer & Progressive) and Manual operations (C- frame & Hand load cell).Specific Duties and Responsibilities:Work with customer to clarify and document customer system needs: Fastener type, panel info, vehicle platformAssess and document installation feasibility through CAD integration of tooling into panelSpecify and document all components needed to meet customer installation requirementsPerform tooling design/modifications and document as well as work with Design group for creation of new toolsCreate budgetary quote based on system specification. Follow up with customer(s) for official quote and receipt of PO. Determine and document required delivery datesMonitor progress of system components to assure on-time deliveryProvide ongoing support for customer production needs.Assist Service Team to diagnose & troubleshoot issues with installation heads, fastener feeders, and electropneumatic kits (in-die & manual operations)Cooperate with team providing feedback for improvement opportunities and lessons learnedWork with customer to clarify, document and manage quotes for fastenersSafety:Follow all safety requirements to avoid injury to self and fellow employees.Create and maintain a safe work environment; repair and/or report non-conformances to company safety policies and guidelinesPerform the necessary safety requirements to avoid injury to self and fellow employeesWork Environment:Air-conditioned office and works in an unairconditioned manufacturing facilityRequires travel 25-50% in the surrounding states.Overnight travel may be requiredEducation and Experience Required:Bachelors degree mechanical engineering or related field preferredProven competency in mechanical and electropneumatic systems (simple and complex)Basic practical knowledge of HMI/PLC (Allen Bradley & Siemens)Strong interpersonal skills are required for communicating with the team and the customerExperience in tool & die (Presses & Dies) is beneficial but not requiredGood verbal and written skills are highly sought VIA Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams)Problem solving skillsDetail oriented and excellent organizational skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work under pressurePosition Type/Expectations of Working HoursFull time positionRegularly scheduled to work 8 - 10 hours a dayMust be able to work Monday - Friday
