Surgical Tech - CVOR

Job description & requirements: Title: CVOR Surgical Tech (Certified Surgical Technician) Location: Muskegon, Michigan Duration: 13 weeks + (Possibilities of Extension) Hours: 40 hours/Weekly Shifts: Day shift Schedule: 8h/day (5 days/week) or 10h/day (4 days/week) Prepare and set up the operating room for open heart (cardiovascular) surgeries Sterilize and organize surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile field Handle specialized cardiovascular (CVOR) instruments and equipment Ensure strict adherence to aseptic and sterile techniques Anticipate surgeon needs during complex open-heart procedures Assist with patient positioning, draping, and pre-op preparation Perform instrument, sponge, and needle counts before and after surgery Support the surgical team during emergency situations Clean and restock the operating room after procedures Collaborate with nurses, surgeons, and anesthesia staff for smooth workflow
