Manufacturing Engineer - IB4

Manufacturing EngineerFoxconn is seeking a skilled and motivated Manufacturing Engineer to join our Houston operations team. This role is responsible for supporting, configuring, optimizing, and maintaining advanced production equipment used in electronics manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SMT processes, automation systems, and PCB assembly equipment in a high-volume manufacturing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up, configure, and optimize SMT / Automation production equipment for efficient and high-quality outputSupport and manage equipment including SMT placement machines, reflow ovens, PCB routers, press fit equipment, AOI systems, X-ray systems, and automated production equipmentTroubleshoot machine issues and minimize downtime through fast root-cause resolutionImprove manufacturing processes for yield, throughput, and quality performanceWork closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Process Engineering teamsDevelop and maintain machine parameters, setup documentation, and process standardsSupport new product introduction (NPI), line transfers, and continuous improvement projectsEnsure compliance with safety, quality, and operational proceduresQualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent manufacturing experienceExperience in electronics manufacturing / PCB assembly / SMT environmentStrong understanding of SMT process flow and PCB assembly operationsExperience with AOI, X-ray, routers, automation, and production machineryStrong troubleshooting and mechanical/electrical diagnostic skillsFamiliarity with Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma is a plusStrong communication and teamwork skillsPreferred ExperienceHigh-volume EMS manufacturing environmentProcess validation and machine programmingPreventive maintenance coordinationData analysis for production improvement
