This role provides direction to a multi-disciplinary technology team to ensure the reliable, secure, and efficient delivery of services across all district systems and facilities. The Coordinator oversees end-user support, cybersecurity initiatives, and application development while ensuring all technical systems align with the district's educational mission. By managing hardware lifecycles and software integrations, this position ensures that technology serves as a seamless bridge to personalized instruction for all learners.Supervision & LeadershipDirect and evaluate the technology department staff, overseeing daily operations for help desk support, network engineering, and system administration.Assist in the recruitment, selection, and onboarding process for technical personnel to ensure high-quality departmental staffing.Assist in the development and execution of a multi-year District Technology Plan and strategic roadmap aligned with district goals and educational missions.Maintain the technology department budget.Serve as the primary liaison between the technology department and district leadership to inform decision-making and strategic planning.Infrastructure & OperationsDirect the design, maintenance, and high availability of the district's WAN/LAN, Wi-Fi, and cloud infrastructure, including Google Workspace.Manage the full lifecycle, deployment, and inventory of all district devices and hardware used by students and staff.Oversee the integration and uptime of VoIP phone systems and physical security technologies, including emergency notifications.Manage external vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and oversee third-party service deployments.Data Management & Systems IntegrationDirect the optimization of the Student Information System (SIS) to ensure it serves as the "single source of truth" for accurate state reporting.Partner with department leaders to provide technical oversight for ERP systems, ensuring seamless data synchronization across Finance and HR platforms.Coordinate the development of custom integrations, API automations, and reporting dashboards for data-driven decision-making.Support requests for student-related data extraction and run queries or reports for staff as requested.Cybersecurity & ComplianceLead district-wide cybersecurity strategy, including endpoint security and incident response.Enforce policies to ensure compliance with federal and state privacy laws, including FERPA and CIPA.Establish technical literacy and cybersecurity awareness training programs to empower staff.Ensure data integrity by auditing, modifying, and amending data in school information systems in a timely manner.Other DutiesContinue professional development through seminars, workshops, research, and professional meetings;Support district and school operations as needed.QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field required.Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years in IT operations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role. Experience in K-12 environments preferred.Technical Skills: Advanced skills using Google Suite, Microsoft Suite, and Information Database Systems.Abilities: Strong ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and board members.Communication: Exceptional oral and written communication skills with the ability to relate to diverse populations.Pay & BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $90,000-$123,000 annually.
