The interpreter will be responsible for facilitating effective communication between Ilocano-speaking individuals and English-speaking individuals, ensuring accuracy and cultural sensitivity in diverse settings. The role may involve in-person verbal interpretation in healthcare, legal, educational, or community environments. The interpreter is expected to manage confidential information appropriately and ensure clear, impartial communication in different contexts.QualificationsProficient fluency in Ilocano and English, with excellent verbal communication skills in both languagesProven experience in interpretation, particularly in healthcare, legal, or community settingsStrong cultural competency and ability to bridge linguistic and cultural gaps effectivelyProfessionalism, confidentiality, and the ability to remain impartial during sensitive dialoguesFlexibility to adapt to various interpretation scenarios and quick-thinking skills during conversationsCertifications or training in interpretation preferred but not requiredFamiliarity with the code of ethics and standards of practice for professional interpreters is a plus
