Genesis Systems is a fast-growing technology company developing next-generation atmospheric water generation solutions for commercial and defense markets. We're looking for a versatile Software Engineer to join our team and take ownership across the full breadth of our software stack — from customer-facing web applications to embedded IoT systems and internal data infrastructure.What You'll Do
Design, build, and maintain full-stack web applications supporting both commercial and military-facing products
Develop and integrate IoT/embedded software for hardware products, including PLC communication, sensor telemetry, and cloud data pipelines (AWS IoT)
Contribute to internal AI and data tooling, including automation workflows, analytics dashboards, and ML-adjacent pipelines
Collaborate cross-functionally with hardware, operations, and business teams to translate requirements into reliable software
Own features end-to-end — from scoping and architecture through deployment and monitoring
Support DevOps practices including CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, and system reliability
What We're Looking For
3–5 years of professional software development experience
Proficiency in at least one backend language (Python, Node.js, or similar) and comfort working across the stack
Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS
Exposure to IoT protocols, embedded systems, or hardware-adjacent development is a strong plus
Familiarity with data pipelines, APIs, or internal tooling development
Self-directed, adaptable, and comfortable operating with limited oversight in a fast-moving environment
Strong communication skills — you'll work closely with non-technical stakeholders regularly
Nice to Have
Experience with defense, government, or regulated-industry software
Background in industrial controls, PLC systems, or SCADA
Familiarity with React, FastAPI, or AWS IoT Core
Pay: $65,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
