Job Title: Medical Assistant Internal Medicine Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 17:00) Job Duration: 13(weeks) Pay Rate: $18/Hourly. Description:*** Local Only *** Required Qualifications: Medical Assistant Certificate/Diploma from a DAPIP accredited program OR national certification through AAMA, AMCA, AMT, CCBMA, or MMCI. Demonstrated ability to prepare patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests, taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature, and reporting patient history summaries 1 year working as an MA in an outpatient clinic or medical office setting **** Expertise with blood/lab draws and venipuncture - will draw 1-5 tubes from each patient. The clinic sees 100+ patients a day **** Preferred Qualifications: 2+ years working as a MA in (specific specialty) Experience with CS-Link/Epic Phlebotomy certification (highly preferred) Understanding of medical terminology Experience with medical insurance, referral processes, and benefit plans Experience with Quest Diagnostic laboratory submissions Job Duties: Greet patients, take appropriate vital signs, review current meds and record in medical record Assist with tracking and monitoring department specific data Explain policies, procedures, or services to patients based on scope of practice Set up exam/procedure rooms appropriate to the patient visit needs Clean and re-process equipment and supplies following department guidelines Administer immunizations, injections, or oral medications as directed by provider Draw and prepare designated lab work or specimens as directed by provider COVID-19 Vaccine (Facility Guideline): Required + Booster - No Exemptions, Current Booster Job Type: Contract Pay: $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Medical Specialty: Internal Medicine Schedule: 5x8 Day shift Experience: Internal Medicine: 1 year (Required) Medical Assistant: 1 year (Required) Epic: 1 year (Preferred) License/Certification: BLS Certification (Required) Certified Medical Assistant (Required) Work Location: In person
