Job Title: Data Governance & MDM SpecialistDuration: 12 months (strong potential to extend/convert)Pay Rate: $60-$80/hrLocation: Hybrid, 3 days onsite – New York, NY 10022Schedule: Standard business hours (9–5)Interview: 3 roundsStart Date: 5/18 (tentative)Job Description:Insight Global is seeking a Data Governance & MDM Specialist for a top financial services client within the investment banking and advisory space. This candidate will play a hands-on, technical role in building and operationalizing data governance and mastered data capabilities across a modern enterprise lakehouse environment. They will partner closely with business stakeholders, data architects, and engineering teams to implement data quality controls, automation, and stewardship-driven processes that ensure trusted, well-defined data for downstream platforms and analytics. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of data, technology, and the business while helping shape enterprise-wide data governance practices. This is a hybrid role in Midtown, NYC requiring 3 days a week onsite.Day-to-Day:Build and maintain concordance and survivorship processes, including matching rules and workflowsImplement automation and human-in-the-loop review processes for mastered dataSupport data owners and stewards with business definitions, glossaries, and data domainsManage data issue logs and coordinate resolution across advisory businessesDesign and implement data quality rules, monitoring, and dashboardsPerform Python- and SQL-based analyses to investigate and resolve data issuesPartner with data architects, Databricks engineers, and BA/PM teams to ensure governed data implementationDefine and prioritize data quality metrics across key domainsPrepare and distribute governance and data quality metrics and updatesMaintain clear documentation of governance standards, rules, and decisionsSupport training materials and communications related to data governanceAssist with defining and enforcing CRM data entry standards and validation rulesMust-Haves:3–6 years of experience in data governance, data management, MDM, or analytics engineeringStrong SQL and Python skills for data investigation, validation, automation, and data qualityExperience working in modern data environments, including Databricks or similar cloud platformsBackground supporting environments like investment banking, equities, hedge funds wealth, or asset managementEffective cross‑functional partner and communicator with strong attention to detail and follow‑throughPlusses:Experience with concordance, survivorship, entity matching, or MDM processesExposure to CRM or deal management platforms (DealCloud, Salesforce)Experience with BI tools, Excel, and Jupyter notebooksFamiliarity with enterprise lakehouse architecturesCompensation:$60 - $80 per hourExact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
