ShareShareEmailPostShareDEPARTMENT: Sumter Solidification, LLC dba ReIntegrated (REI) – Operations Container Processing AssociateREPORTS TO: Facility Operations ManagerJob SummaryThe Operations Container Processing Associate is responsible for the safe handling, inspection, processing, and disposal of non-hazardous waste containers in accordance with facility procedures and regulatory requirements. This role supports daily operations by ensuring proper container management, maintaining a clean work area, and complying with all safety and environmental standards.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (includes But Is Not Limited To)Receive, inspect, and identify non-hazardous waste containers for proper processingOpen, empty, and process containers using approved tools and equipmentSort and segregate materials according to facility proceduresOperate handling equipment such as forklifts, container handlers, pallet jacks, etc. (as trained)Ensure proper labeling, documentation, and tracking of received/processed materialsMaintain a clean, organized work area in compliance with housekeeping standardsFollow all company safety policies, PPE requirements, and environmental regulationsImmediately communicate spills, or safety concerns to supervisionAssist with routine equipment inspections and basic maintenancePerform additional operational duties as assignedSafety & Compliance ResponsibilitiesComply with OSHA, EPA, and company-specific safety requirementsProperly use required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all timesParticipate in safety training, toolbox talks, and job hazard analysesFollow spill prevention and response proceduresQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Experience in waste management, logistics, or a related field is preferred.Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbsAbility to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive motions throughout the workdayComfortable working in an industrial environmentBasic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learnForklift certification preferred or willingness to obtain certificationProficient with written and verbal communication, as well as interpersonal skills.Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.Dependable attendance and ability to work independently, but must be able to work as part of a team.Physical RequirementsFrequent lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, and twistingStanding and walking for extended periodsManual handling of drums and materialsWork EnvironmentNon-hazardous waste processing facilityExposure to noise, odors, dust, and varying temperaturesOperation of mechanical equipment and hand toolsSafety-driven, fast-paced industrial settingHours Of WorkTypically, Monday through Friday, 7am to 4pm, but hours can vary. A company issued mobile device is required for during and after hour service.TravelErrands to various local entities as deemed necessary by management.Supervisory ResponsibilityThis position has no direct supervisory responsibilities at this time.
