Perioperative Registered Nurse

Entech Medical Staffing is seeking a Registered Nurse with experience in perioperative care to work at a gastroenterology clinic in Ypsilanti!Hours: 4 days per week (36 hours total) No weekends!Pay Rate: Up to $40/hr.Job Description:Accepts responsibility for the nursing care of assigned patients by providing individualized patient care. Patient assessment, identification of patient problems or potential problems before, during and after the performance of a variety of endoscopic procedures. The RN will be responsible for working on admitting preparing the patient, procedure room monitoring the patient and assisting the physician, and/or recovering the patient post procedure. Responsible for monitoring, ordering and maintaining supplies and equipment maintenance such as emergency supplies. Utilizes initiative and strives to maintain a steady level of productivity. Is a self-starter. Is supportive and a team player. Work ethics and goals reflect quality patient care and the mission and goals of the Center. Charge nurse in absence of the Nurse Manager and/or Lead Charge Nurse. Qualifications/Requirements:Must be a licensed Registered Nurse in the state of Michigan Must have BLS certification, ACLS preferred Must have 1 or more years experience in a pre/post operative setting Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with patients, family members, and co-workers. Ability to read, write and learn computer entry/retrieval and pay close attention to detail Ability to work in a demanding environment that requires walking and standing for most of the work day. Ability to maintain professional appearance and demeanor at all times Ability to be flexible with assignments based on patient care requirements as well as patient needs We look forward to hearing from you!
