Night Warehouse SupervisorThe purpose of the Night Warehouse Supervisor is to assist the Night Warehouse Manager in the planning and management of night warehouse personnel to ensure all activities are performed effectively and efficiently.Responsibilities include:Training personnel in the performance of assigned duties to ensure tasks are performed efficiently and in a safe work environmentPlanning, organizing, and directing scheduling to ensure logistics, workload, and daily goals are met as directed by the Operations ManagerCounseling employees in work-related activities, personal growth, and career developmentMonitoring warehouse personnel to ensure completion of replenishment tasks during each shiftEnsuring personnel are scheduled at appropriate intervals for allocation of resources in the warehouseManaging personnel by ensuring adherence to all BEK human resource and administrative policies and proceduresRecommending or initiating personnel actions, such as promotions, transfers, and disciplinary measuresAssessing training needs of staff and providing or scheduling instruction as appropriateConducting performance appraisals on all direct reportsEnforcing safety principles to maintain a safe and secure work environment for all employeesAttending all required safety meetings and trainingOffering suggestions and implementing improvements to the work environmentUnderstanding and enforcing workers' safety rights regarding work processes and proceduresCompleting managerial and administrative tasks to ensure the proper and timely completion of required documentation and compliance with BEK financial goalsMonitoring employee performance and executing fair, consistent, and effective discipline as neededApproving completed daily paperwork, including time/wage reporting, daily receipts, and other required documentationMaintaining and encouraging open communication amongst all employees and management personnelPerforming other duties as required and directed by the Night Warehouse Manager and Operations ManagerJob RequirementsHigh School Diploma or equivalent (GED)At least 6 years of warehouse experience required with 2 years of supervisory experience desiredFood service and/or manufacturing experience preferredWorking knowledge of warehouse, logistics, and general OSHA guidelines as they pertain to warehouse safety is requiredAbility to read and interpret rules/guidelines, operating and maintenance instructionsGood computer skills with the ability to learn and use internal applicationsMust be able to work in all warehouse temperature zones (cold and hot)Ben E.
