Reporting to the Director of Data Architecture, you will work across the full data stack—from ingestion to transformation and delivery—while supporting data governance and enabling confident, data-driven decision-making.This is a hands-on, build-focused role in a greenfield environment using tools such as Snowflake, dbt Fusion CLI, Fivetran, and Python (Snowpark).Key ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain data pipelines using Fivetran and custom solutionsDevelop and manage dbt models across all data layers (staging to reporting)Optimize Snowflake performance, cost, and infrastructureImplement and support data governance, quality, and documentation standardsCollaborate with BI teams (Power BI) to enhance reporting and semantic modelsMaintain internal data tools and ensure clean, reliable downstream dataParticipate in code reviews and CI/CD best practicesMonitor and resolve data quality issuesPartner with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutionsRequired Experience & Education2+ years of experience in data engineering or similar roleProficiency in Snowflake (or similar), SQL, and performance optimizationHands-on experience with dbt and ELT tools (e.g., Fivetran)Working knowledge of Python for data pipelinesExperience with Git, CI/CD, and documentation best practicesBachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experienceMust be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basisDesired QualificationsExperience with data observability/quality tools (e.g., Elementary, dbt Expectations)Knowledge of data governance (ownership, access control, masking)Exposure to Power BI or similar BI toolsExperience in manufacturing or multi-site environmentsFamiliarity with data science or machine learning workflowsAdditional Skills (Nice To Have)Polymer processing experience (extrusion, rotational molding)Strong analytical and process improvement skillsExperience leading cross-functional projectsKnowledge of manufacturing processes and safety standardsCore CompetenciesTechnical expertise, curiosity, strong communication, collaboration, ownership mindset, adaptability, and business acumenAdditional DetailsSalary: ExemptTravel: Up to 20%Physical Requirements: Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods; lift up to 20 lbs occasionallySenneca provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or genetics.
