Process Control Engineer6 month project with possible extensionThe Process Control Engineer supports safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations by maintaining, optimizing, and developing process control applications, automation systems, and control strategies for assigned processing units.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and support control applications, including development, modification, tuning, and optimization of control strategies.Provide DCS, PLC, SIS, and advanced process control support to improve unit performance, reliability, and operational efficiency.Monitor process unit operations and collaborate with process engineering teams to meet production, quality, and energy targets.Develop control strategies for new projects, process improvements, and new product applications.Support alarm management programs, including alarm reviews, rationalization, and KPI improvement.Participate in PSM Management of Change (MOC), PHA/LOPA studies, incident investigations, and control-related project activities.Develop operator graphics, provide training, and support implementation of control system changes.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering discipline.5+ years of process controls, process engineering, or operations engineering experience in a petrochemical or refining environment.Experience with Foxboro IA (Invensys) and Emerson DeltaV required.Experience with PLC systems (Triconex, GE Fanuc, Mark V/VII preferred), DCS systems, continuous and batch control applications.Knowledge of PHA/LOPA studies and control network management preferred.Must be able to obtain a TWIC card.Strong analytical, problem-solving, prioritization, and collaboration skills.
