Revenue Accounting Data Analyst (Remote)
This role is accountable for data validation, analysis, and reconciliation of Accounts Receivable (AR) and Deferred Revenue within a complex, data-driven environment. The consultant will use Databricks, SQL, andBI tools to ensure reliability of revenue data flowing from multiple platforms (Salesforce, Stripe, Oracle FAH). The role also supports audit readiness and financial disclosures for SaaS and consumption-based revenue streams.The consultant will:Reconcile contractedrevenue (Salesforce) with actual billings and receipts (Stripe) .Validate and analyzedata in Databricks that brings these sources together for financialreporting and ASC 606 compliance.What that entails: writing SQL queries in Databricks tojoin Salesforce objects with Stripe transactions to verify:Customer IDs match.Usage data aligns withbilling events.Deferred vs. recognizedrevenue is accurate.Remote / Payrate range $70-80/hr. depending on experienceDuration of Project: 3-6 monthsKey Responsibilities:Data Validation & Reconciliation:Validate and reconcile AR and Deferred Revenue datasets using Databricks to process and query large transactional data.Investigate data discrepancies leveraging BI tools and SQL queries.Revenue & Insights:Use Databricks notebooks to perform advanced data transformations and generate insights on AR sources and revenue streams.SQL Development:Build and optimize SQL queries (supported by AI tools like Claude Code / CodeX) for deep-dive analysis of revenue datasets.Audit & Compliance Support:Collaborate with Accounting and auditors, preparing PBC lists, footnote tie-outs, and evidence packages, ensuring compliance with ASC 606.Process Enablement:Develop repeatable workflows in Databricks for ongoing data validation and reporting.Required Skills & Experience:Technical Competencies:Advanced Databricks platform experienceSQL skills for data mining and reconciliationKnowledge of BI tools for data validation and visualization.Systems:Experience with Salesforce is strongly preferred.ERP Oracle FAH/AR and Stripe data integrations is a plus.Accounting Expertise:Solid understanding of SaaS and consumption-based revenue and related accounting processes is needed.Soft Skills:Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment .Strong communication and documentation skills for auditor interactions.An inspirational place for you to do your best work, be engaged in meaningful ways, and continually develop the skills, competencies and qualities that set our team apart.Compensation commensurate with your qualifications, experience, and other factors including geographic location, market and operational factors. ?Total Rewards include: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Disability Insurance, 401(k) Savings Plan, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Professional Development Program, Paid Time Off and Paid Sick Time (in geographies where legally required).At RGP, we're creating a future where businesses produce their best work without constraints.
