Area Operations Manager - Maintenance Services - Utility

Our consistent performance has earned TEiC long-standing relationships with many of the nation's leading power generation companies.The Area Manager is the operational and commercial leader for a designated region supporting power generation and industrial processing maintenance projects. This role is responsible for developing customer relationships, leading estimating and proposal efforts, and overseeing project execution from opportunity identification through project completion. The Area Manager works closely with TEiC leadership, project teams, and customers to drive safe execution, operational performance, and continued growth within the region. This position reports to the Regional Director.Customer Relationships & Business DevelopmentDevelop and maintain relationships with utilities, plant operators, and industrial power generation customers within the assigned areaIdentify upcoming maintenance opportunities and support TEiC's regional growth strategyParticipate in RFQ evaluations and recommend bid / no-bid decisionsEstimating & Proposal DevelopmentPrepare project estimates using TEiC estimating tools and templatesReview and approve estimates for projects within the areaLead the transition from estimate to formal proposal through TEiC commercial processesProject LeadershipProvide oversight of TEiC maintenance projects within the assigned regionMonitor project performance related to safety, schedule, cost, and qualityIdentify project risks and implement corrective actions when neededProvide project status updates and operational insights to senior leadershipTeam LeadershipMentor and support project leadership teams including Project Managers, Superintendents, and Field EngineersEvaluate project leadership effectiveness and support continuous improvement across the areaParticipate in staffing and leadership development decisionsOperational & Commercial ReportingEnsure all operational, financial, and commercial reporting requirements are completed accurately and on scheduleRequirementsWhat We're Looking ForExperience supporting power generation maintenance projectsStrong background in estimating, project execution, and customer relationship managementDemonstrated understanding of project controls and project risk management practicesTechnical knowledge of power plant systems and major power generation equipmentProven ability to lead multiple projects and teams across a regionAbility to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced project environmentStrong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skillsWillingness and ability to travel to project sites as requiredEducation & ExperienceBachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred5+ years of experience in field engineering, project management, or related roles supporting industrial or power generation projectsBenefitsHealth Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision) Effective on your first day!
