Entry-Level Construction Administrator
Our State College, PA office is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Entry-Level Construction Administrator. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in the architectural engineering and construction industry. The successful candidate will support project teams in the construction administration phase, ensuring projects are executed efficiently and in accordance with design documents. This is an IN-PERSON position and will require the individual to reside in the Central Pennsylvania area such that they can be in the office daily. In addition, this position will involve travel.ResponsibilitiesAssist the architect in the administration of the design team contractual requirements.Review and approve submittals for the MEP scope of work.Respond to RFIs associated with the MEP scope of work.Conduct site visits (typically monthly) to monitor construction progress and confirm construction is in compliance with construction documents.Perform completion walks and document items not completed in compliance with the construction documents.Virtually attend meetings monthly, bi-weekly, or weekly depending on the project.QualificationsBachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or related field.Strong organizational and time management skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Detail-oriented with a strong aptitude for problem-solving.Preferred QualificationsExperience with construction documentation and contract administration.Knowledge of building codes and construction standards.Proficiency in construction management software.BenefitsWe are a small firm that works in commercial construction markets including higher education, senior living, sports and recreation, and k-12 education.
