Head of Business Development

Company : SVI Electronics LLC, Washington, USAJob Scope :We are looking for a highly motivated and results-oriented Business Development professional with a strong “hunter” mindset to drive new customer acquisition and revenue growth. This role will focus on identifying and securing new EMS business opportunities, particularly aligned with our USA manufacturing footprint in close collaboration with our Asia operations.The ideal candidate is energetic, well-connected within the electronics ecosystem, and experienced in engaging with multiple customer segments across industries.Job Responsibilities :Business Development & Sales GrowthIdentify, target, and acquire new customers in the EMS space across key industries (industrial, medical, consumer, etc.)Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads and opportunitiesDrive the full sales cycle: prospecting, qualification, proposal development, negotiation, and deal closureDevelop strategic account plans for key prospectsMarket Expansion & NetworkingLeverage existing industry network to generate new business opportunitiesBuild relationships with decision-makers (engineering, sourcing, supply chain, and leadership teams)Actively participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking platformsMonitor market trends, competitor positioning, and customer needsCustomer Engagement & Solution AlignmentUnderstand customer requirements (technical, commercial, and operational)Collaborate with internal engineering, operations, and supply chain teams to develop tailored EMS solutionsPresent SVI’s capabilities, value proposition, and differentiators effectivelyCross-Regional CollaborationWork closely with Asia-based manufacturing teams to align on capabilities, costing, and deliveryEnsure seamless coordination between customer expectations and internal executionReporting & Performance ManagementMaintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and CRM updatesTrack KPIs including lead generation, conversion rates, and revenue growthEducation & Experience:15–20+ years of experience in business development, sales, or program management within the EMS or electronics industryExperience working with small to mid-sized EMS companies is strongly preferredExposure to a broader customer base and multi-industry engagement is highly valuedBackground in electronic component manufacturing or distribution is an added advantageStrong understanding of industry dynamics, supply chain, and customer ecosystemProven track record of acquiring new customers and closing dealsKey CompetenciesStrong “hunter” mindset with a passion for winning new businessHigh energy, self-driven, and resilient personalityExcellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skillsStrong business acumen with the ability to understand technical and commercial aspectsAbility to work independently while collaborating across global teamsWell-established network within the electronics/EMS ecosystemLocation RequirementCandidates based on or willing to relocate to the West Coast, USA are preferred.
