Electrical Engineer

Position Title: Electrical Engineer IPosition SummaryThe Electrical Engineer I will design, develop, and test electrical equipment, components, and systems, or supervise their manufacturing and installation for commercial, industrial, military, or scientific use.The position requires the ability to create engineering drawings and read and interpret blueprints.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and test electrical equipment, including machinery controls, wiring, and lighting.Support or supervise the manufacturing and installation of electrical equipment, components, or systems.Evaluate the cost-effectiveness, reliability, and safety of design models.Estimate the time and cost required to complete projects.Simulate and test the operation of machines, structures, and systems.Investigate and test products from vendors and competitors.Perform detailed calculations to establish manufacturing, construction, and installation standards and specifications.Apply principles of electrical theory to engineering projects.Requirements1–2 years of relevant experience.Ability to create sketches and engineering drawings.Ability to read and interpret blueprints.Ability to perform common engineering computations and detailed calculations.Previous experience with computer applications and design software related to the engineering field.Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.Analytical and problem-solving ability.Creativity.Detail orientation.Ability to work as part of a team.Technical Skills and ToolsElectrical equipment design, development, and testing.Machinery controls, wiring, and lighting.Engineering sketches and drawings.Blueprint interpretation.Engineering computations and detailed calculations.Electrical theory and its application to engineering projects.Manufacturing, construction, and installation standards and specifications.Machine, structure, and system simulation and testing.Engineering-related computer applications.Engineering design software.Project time and cost estimation.Design cost-effectiveness, reliability, and safety evaluation.Vendor and competitor product testing.Education and QualificationsBachelor’s degree in engineering required.Location, Employment Type, and ScheduleLocation: Florence, South CarolinaEmployment Type: Full-timeShift Schedule: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
