Attorneys will receive meaningful responsibility early in their careers while benefiting from direct mentorship and strong long-term advancement opportunities within Chicago legal jobs.________________________________________Key Responsibilities• Manage sophisticated commercial litigation and dispute-resolution matters from inception through resolution• Maintain regular communication with clients regarding litigation strategy and case developments• Prepare for, conduct, and defend depositions throughout the United States• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery-related filings in compliance with Rule 11 requirements• Argue contested, dispositive, and discovery motions in state and federal court proceedings• Conduct witness interviews and gather factual materials supporting litigation strategy• Perform sophisticated legal research and draft legal memoranda• Assist with trials, arbitrations, evidentiary hearings, and mediation proceedings• Collaborate with attorneys, legal assistants, and litigation support teams on case strategy and management• Analyze legal and factual issues affecting complex business disputes• Manage multiple litigation matters while meeting strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment• Travel as needed for depositions, hearings, and litigation proceedings________________________________________Qualifications• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school• Active law license in Illinois and/or California required• Minimum of 2-5 years of commercial litigation experience at a law firm• Experience handling matters in federal and state courts required• Strong motion practice, discovery, and deposition experience preferred• Excellent verbal and written communication skills• Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments effectively• Flexible and adaptable in fast-paced litigation environments• Ability to work independently while collaborating within litigation teams• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and litigation technology tools________________________________________Practice Environment & Firm AppealThis internationally connected legal practice is recognized for its strong relationships with multinational businesses and companies operating throughout the United States and Asia.
