Machine Operator 2 (Flexo Press Operator)
Description:
This position is available on 2nd shift (Monday-Friday, 3:00pm-11:30pm)
Position Summary:
Responsible to complete basic to advanced machine operations per the Job Packet in accordance with the Safety Policy, Quality Plan, and ISO procedures. Able to package product for shipment or inventory.
Essential Functions:
Conform to all safety protocols especially regarding machine operation
Operate machine(s) to manufacture parts conforming to customer specifications and ISO quality expectations
Expected to review daily dispatch list to meet project deadlines based on the production schedule
Input data into ERP software to accurately account for time and parts completed in operations
Operate machine(s) per Job Operations and Work Instructions to scheduled plan
Perform tasks operating one or more machines to:
Rewind to specific tensions and footage or piece counts
Rewind and inspect, remove, replace, reduce, splice and finish
Slit rolls
Die cut
Plotter cut
Guillotine cut
Laser cut
Back split
Laminate
Bend
Cuff
Pick and place electronics
Convert materials
Print with inks, toners, or thermal transfer ribbons with analog or digital equipment
Perform other similar advanced machine operations
Perform basic to advanced set-ups
Perform preventative maintenance on machines as detailed in Preventive Maintenance Schedules
Keep machine and work area clean and organized
Responsible for on-the-job training for new hires, interns, and others
Other duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
Education and Experience:
High School diploma or GED
3+ years machine operation experience
Flexographic printing experience highly preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Mechanically inclined
Read, write, count, perform basic math, and measure.
Communicate clearly in writing (e.g. memos, explanations, drawings) and explain work to his/her supervisor and others in the group
Work effectively with peers
Perform moderate to advanced problem solving within assigned tasks
Exercises technical judgment in deciding work methods

Total compensation:
The base pay range listed reflects the potential hourly compensation for this position. Compensation will vary based on factors including experience. This 2nd shift position includes a $0.70/hour shift differential in addition to the hourly wage shown below.
