Carpenter

Loyal Nine Development is a growing general contractor firm headquartered in Rochester, NY. Loyal Nine Development is looking for an experienced Carpenter to join our team. Responsibilities: -Effectively perform rough carpentry and other general contracting needs on various projects. This includes private work, commercial work, and public work. -Proficient with hand and power tools. -Construct building frameworks, assemble and install structures and fixtures, cut and shape materials, replace damaged framing or fixtures, etc. -Help coordinate equipment and materials with project managers and operate within budget. -Willing and able to transfer knowledge to other staff. -Procure materials and equipment to finish projects efficiently and cost-effectively. -Maintain stock of general tools, fasteners, screws in equipment vessel. -Assist in risk assessment to ensure project is performed safely and efficiently. -Ensure all safety and compliance measures are followed. -Troubleshoot and problem solve unexpected issues that occur on projects. -Effectively communicate with project managers on project status and any client concerns. -Provide progress updates as needed to manager. -Ability to read and interpret construction documents including architectural drawings, structural drawings, civil engineered plans, project specification manuals, etc. Requirements for candidate : -1 or more years of experience in rough carpentry. -Strong communication skills to work with both internal and external partners and clients. -Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, shop drawings, etc. -Able to write clearly and thoroughly as well as able to interpret large sets of written information. -Candidate must be an independent worker who takes initiative and responsibility. -High attention to detail; candidate is accurate and thorough. -Valid driver’s license in good standing. -Candidate must be organized and able to keep schedules and make deadlines. -OSHA 10 required (can obtain after hire). -Lift 75 lbs -Able to perform construction tasks (bending, digging, lifting, repetitive motions, utilizing hand tools, etc) in 4 season weather conditions Preferred Candidates will: -Be able to use computer software including but not limited to BlueBeam, Microsoft Office, and BuilderTrend. -OSHA 30 preferred.
