Benefits:Competitive salaryTraining & developmentWellness resourcesWe are seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager to lead and oversee the company's accounting operations within a well-established, product-based distribution environment.This individual will manage day-to-day accounting functions, supervise AR/AP processes, oversee inventory and customs-related accounting, and serve as the primary financial liaison to ownership and the company's external CPA firm.Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting Operations Leadership Oversee full Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions Supervise accounting staff and ensure accurate invoice processing and documentation Review and approve journal entries and reconciliations Maintain strong internal controls and financial accuracy Ensure proper general ledger maintenanceCash Flow & Financial Management Manage company cash flow and vendor payment schedules Monitor aging reports and collections Review payroll prior to processing Support forecasting and liquidity planningReconciliations & Month-End Close Perform and review bank and credit card reconciliations Lead month-end close process Maintain balance sheet integrity and financial accuracyInventory & Customs Accounting Oversee inventory accounting and cost tracking Manage customs and duty-related accounting Ensure proper recording of import-related expenses Work closely with vendors and suppliers regarding billing and duty mattersReporting & CPA Interface Prepare financial reporting for ownership Serve as liaison to the outside CPA firm Assist with year-end reporting and supporting documentationQualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 7+ years of progressive accounting experience Experience in distribution, wholesale, logistics, or import/export environments strongly preferred Inventory accounting experience required Experience handling customs/duties accounting preferred Strong knowledge of GAAP Advanced Excel skills Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting/ERP system Prior supervisory experience preferred
