Hiring: Mechanical VDC Manager | Charlotte, NCWe’re partnered with a well-established mechanical contractor seeking an experienced VDC Manager to lead BIM/VDC efforts across large-scale commercial and industrial construction projects.This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who understands the field, the coordination process, and how to drive successful project execution through advanced modeling and collaboration.What We’re Looking For 7+ years of experience in Virtual Design & Construction (VDC), BIM coordination, or Mechanical Project Management Strong background supporting HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems on commercial and industrial projects Advanced proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360, Plant 3D, Bluebeam, Procore, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook Experience developing and managing coordinated models from preconstruction through installation Strong understanding of clash detection, constructability reviews, and coordination workflows Ability to lead VDC teams, mentor junior coordinators, and collaborate with operations teams Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to drive accountability and resultsKey Responsibilities Lead BIM/VDC strategy and coordination efforts across multiple projects Oversee model development for mechanical systems including HVAC, piping, and plumbing Manage clash detection and coordination meetings with internal teams, GCs, and trade partners Support preconstruction and operations teams with constructability reviews and installation planning Develop standards, workflows, and best practices for VDC execution Train and mentor team members on software, modeling standards, and coordination processesCompetitive compensation packageCharlotte, NCStrong project backlog across commercial and industrial marketsLong-term growth opportunity with a reputable contractorIf you have a strong mechanical background and know how to bridge design, coordination, and field execution, message me directly or send your resume for a confidential conversation.
