EMC Design and Test Engineer
Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced EMC Design and Test Engineer to support product reliability and regulatory compliance across complex network environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in EMC/RF testing, debugging, and validation, along with hands-on experience using industry-standard test equipment.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute EMC and RF test plans for emissions, immunity, and susceptibilityPerform EMC debugging to identify and resolve design issuesConduct design reviews, validation, and provide design recommendationsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EMC considerations early in product developmentEnsure compliance with global regulatory standards (FCC, CISPR, IEC, etc.)Document test results and support certification and compliance processesRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related fieldProven experience in EMC design, RF testing, and EMC debuggingHands-on experience with test equipment (spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators)Strong knowledge of standards:FCC Part 15, CISPR 22/32, IEC 61000 seriesRegional standards (KCC, ISED, EN, etc.)Familiarity with:IEC 61850, EN 50155, ECE R10Cellular standards (3GPP, PTCRB, GCF)Hazardous location standards (ATEX, IECEx, IEC 60079, CCC-Ex)Strong problem-solving and communication skillsPreferred SkillsExperience with Cisco networking equipment (switching, routing, wireless)Understanding of Cisco procurement and qualification processesKey Standards ExposureFCC (Part 15, Part 2, Part 90, CFR 15.247, 15.407)CISPR 22/32IEC 61000, IEC 62368, IEC 60079EN 50155, EN 50121, EN 45545IEEE 16133GPP, EN 301 489, EN 303 413What Success Looks LikeStrong ownership of EMC testing and compliance lifecycleAbility to debug complex EMI/EMC issues efficientlyEnsure products meet global regulatory standards with minimal rework
