A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: RN - PCU Job Details: • Provide direct patient care using the nursing process with ongoing assessment of total patient needs • Administer medications, treatments, and patient education as prescribed by physician • Assist with transfers, respond to call lights and alarms, and perform other nursing duties • Function as team leader/member and resource to support staff • Delegate, oversee, and provide direction to support personnel • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to establish patient goals and outcomes • Evaluate effectiveness of treatment plans and participate in revisions • Work every other weekend and holiday schedule • No on-call responsibilities • 2 years of nursing experience required • Neuro PCU experience required • Recent travel work history highly preferred • Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS • Active Michigan nursing license required • Skills checklist current within one year and supervisory reference forms required • Must comply with all local, state, federal regulations and hospital policies • All scheduling requests must be made at time of submission Facility: This healthcare organization operates a comprehensive medical center providing specialized neurological progressive care unit services.
