Parts Counter AssociateThe Parts Counter Associate is responsible for assisting mechanics and customers with purchasing needs for parts and supplies. Job Description:Tracking all incoming and outgoing parts for dealershipHandling parts payment collection and making sure all parts are billed correctly through service department and collision repair.Packaging and shipping parts back to the manufacturerComplete appropriate record keeping; including tagging all parts with customer name and job number for easy referenceRefer to parts manual (hard copy & electronic format) to identify exactly the right parts for the make, model, and year of vehicles being serviced.Providing highest quality of customer serviceAnswer phone calls providing price quotes and other informationNotify Parts Manager of out-of-stock parts or materials that need immediate attentionNotify Service Advisor and/or Customer when specialty parts have been receivedNotify the Body Shops when all parts have been arrived and when they will be deliveredAssist in putting all order away in a timely mannerFollow up on backordered partsOther duties assigned by the Parts Manager Environmental & Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers to feel and handle, reach with arms and hands, talk and hear.
