Under the direction of the CNO responsibility for the effective implementation of the philosophy, goals, policies, and procedures of the hospital and the nursing department and their effect on patient care in a designated unit. authority to make decisions on that unit in the areas of patient care, human resource, and financial management.Directly supervises 8+ employees in the Surgical Services. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.Qualifications:Current license as RN in Texas, or a Compact stateB.S. with concentration in nursing preferred3+ years years’ clinical experience Management experience CPR & ACLS
