Occupational Therapist

Freedom Therapy is looking to expand Home Health Care services on the Eastside of Cleveland and surrounding areas. We are looking for committed Occupational Therapists to act as the patient's partner throughout the trip of restoring motion and ensuring that the client will function at their personal best. You will maximize the quality of life and movement potential within the spheres of promotion, prevention, diagnosis, treatment or intervention, and rehabilitation in a Home Health Care setting.OT ResponsibilitiesAddress client's aspects of performance to support engagement in occupations that affect health, well-being and life qualitySelect and adapt the appropriate per case occupational therapy treatment model, method and approach to direct the process of interventionsApply interventions to maximize safety and performance in activities of daily living (ADL) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADL)Teach clients new ways of approaching tasks and educate them on how to break down activities into achievable componentsAssess client's home and other environments and advice on alterations consistent with their needs and capabilitiesRecommend adaptive equipment and train in its useGuide and educate family members and caregiversObserve, note, and report on progress of long and short term treatment goalsCollect data and document processes followedSupervise COTA'sOT SkillsProven working experience as occupational therapistExcellent knowledge of principles and practices of occupational therapyHands-on experience with computer programs and creative mediaFamiliarity with ADLs evaluation tools ( e.g. Katz ADL scale, Lawton IADL scale)Ability to manage patients with different types of personalitiesCurrent knowledge of treatment practices per discipline and drive to continually learn and grow in the professionProfessional behaviorExcellent interpersonal communication skillsValid license to practice occupational therapy in OhioSalary: $55.00 - $75.00 per visit depending on visit type.Benefits:401(k)Flexible scheduleHealth/Dental/Vision insurance reimbursementPaid time offReferral programRetirement planMileage reimbursementSchedule:Day shiftMonday to FridayWeekends not requiredLicense/Certification:* CPR certification* Occupational Therapy License
