The business has evolved significantly and is scaling quickly, with major expansion underway, including a new state-of-the-art facility and plans to significantly increase production capacity.This is an opportunity to join a company on a high-growth trajectory and step into a highly visible leadership role that will directly support operational scale, inventory accuracy, audit readiness, and financial infrastructure.Position SummaryWe are seeking a hands-on, operationally minded Controller to lead core accounting operations and build a strong financial foundation for a fast-changing, growth-stage business. This person will partner closely with executive leadership.The ideal candidate brings strong inventory accounting and manufacturing-oriented finance experience, along with the ability to work cross-functionally with operations and procurement. This role requires someone who wants to understand how the business runs and can translate operational reality into accurate financial reporting.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the monthly close and ensure timely, accurate financial reportingOwn balance sheet integrity, reconciliations, and overall accounting accuracyManage core controllership functions including AP, AR, accruals, and general accounting oversightDrive improvements in inventory accounting, inventory controls, and inventory management processesPartner with procurement and operations to improve system inputs, outputs, and reporting accuracySupport and improve PO, receiving, and accrual workflows, including received-but-not-invoiced reportingInvestigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, cost of goods issues, and balance sheet abnormalitiesLead external audit activities and serve as a primary point of contact for auditorsWhat Success Looks LikeClean, reliable balance sheet reconciliationsAccurate inventory and cost accounting across operationsStrong audit ownership and deadline executionImproved accounting processes that scale with company growthA controller function that operates as a true business partner to finance and operationsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA strongly preferredPrior experience as a Controller or Assistant Controller in a complex operating environmentStrong experience with inventory accounting requiredExperience in manufacturing, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or other inventory-intensive environments strongly preferredProven ability to work across accounting and operationsExperience leading audits and working directly with external auditorsStrong systems aptitude and comfort learning new enterprise / inventory platformsPreferred BackgroundManufacturing finance experienceHealthcare experience in settings where inventory is a core part of the businessExperience supporting high-growth or operational transformation environmentsExperience managing remote and/or offshore teamsCompensation & BenefitsBase salary in the $180,000–$190,000 range, with flexibility depending on experience15–20% bonus opportunity401(k) with 4% matchMedical, dental, and vision benefitsFor immediate consideration and more information on this exciting career opportunity please submit your resume via the Katalyst Group Careers page (https://www.letskatalyze.com/) or email your resume directly to us at hello@letskatalyze.comAbout Katalyst GroupKatalyst Group is a provider of executive search, project and interim placement solutions with expertise in supporting Accounting, Finance, and Business Transformation executives with special projects created by workforce gaps.
