This role combines expertise in ADA compliance, resource coordination, advocacy, and training to proactively remove barriers and foster a culture of equity and respect within the workplace.Essential Functions Accommodation ManagementManage accommodation requests by engaging in the interactive process, assessing employee needs, and recommending reasonable adjustments in alignment with ADA and state regulations. Monitor and evaluate accommodations to ensure effectiveness and sustainability. Collaboration & ImplementationPartner with HR, supervisors, and external providers to coordinate the timely implementation of accommodations. Provide guidance and problem-solving support for complex or unique accommodation requests. Employee & Manager SupportProvide orientation, guidance, and ongoing support to employees and supervisors on the accommodations process. Serve as a resource for navigating workplace accessibility concerns. ADA & Accessibility ExpertiseServe as a subject matter expert on ADA, disability rights, and workplace accessibility. Maintain compliance with relevant laws, organizational policies, and evolving best practices. Training & EducationDevelop and deliver training sessions for staff at all levels on disability inclusion, accessibility, and creating a welcoming workplace. Provide resources to increase organizational capacity around disability awareness. Accessibility ConsultingAdvise leadership and staff on accessible facilities, technology, communication methods, and other resources for employees with disabilities. Recommend improvements to remove barriers and enhance participation. Documentation & ReportingMaintain confidential records of accommodation requests and outcomes. Produce required reports to support compliance, monitoring, and organizational improvement. Inclusion InitiativesPromote a culture of belonging by leading programs, initiatives, and events that foster disability awareness and inclusion. Partner with leadership to integrate inclusion into organizational strategy. Continuous LearningStay informed on evolving best practices, legal updates, and community standards in accommodations and disability inclusion.Apply knowledge to improve organizational practices and policies. Other Duties as AssignedCarry out additional responsibilities as needed to support departmental and organizational goals. QualificationsBachelor’s degree in human resources, social services, disability studies, or related field (or equivalent experience). Two or more years of experience in implementing workplace accommodations and/or disability services, preferably in a nonprofit or social service setting. Demonstrated knowledge of ADA, state/federal disability laws, and inclusive employment practices. Skilled in case management, assessment, and resource navigation for people with disabilities. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities. Strong organization, documentation, and problem-solving skills. Commitment to confidentiality, ethics, and disability advocacy. Proficient with Microsoft Office and workplace collaboration tools. Valid driver’s license (travel within Oregon may be required).
