Job Description CTR Group is seeking experienced Shipfitters 1st Class for a Shipyard in the in the Pascagoula area for full-time positions. Travelers Welcome!Recently separated or retired Navy Hull Technicians encouraged to apply!PAY RATE: $38 per Hour with Benefits Plus $147 Per Diem for Non-Local Candidates.SUMMARY:A First-Class Shipfitter, also referred to as a Journeyman Shipfitter or a Boilermaker, is responsible for various tools and equipment used in the fabrication, assembling and erection of metal components at the various stages in constructing a marine vessel. The shipyard production areas at times involve working at different heights, confined spaces, different weather conditions as well as multiple shifts 24 hours a day. As with most every position in the shipyard, a Shipfitter may be required to work either day or night dependent upon the number of ships under construction at any one point in time.
