PCB Design Engineer
Job Description
Position OverviewMu-Del Electronics is seeking a highly skilled PCB Design Engineer with strong experience in high-speed, mixed-signal, and RF circuit design. This role will be responsible for end-to-end PCB development, from concept and schematic capture through layout, testing, and production support. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, hands-on debugging experience, and the ability to work in fast-paced, mission-critical environments.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop complex multi-layer PCBs including digital, analog, RF, and power circuitsPerform schematic capture, PCB layout, and signal integrity analysis using AltiumDevelop high-speed designs involving interfaces such as PCIe, USB, Ethernet, LVDS, and DDRConduct simulation and modeling using tools such as LTspice, PSpice, and ADS for RF and EMC performanceCollaborate cross-functionally with mechanical, firmware, and systems engineers to ensure design integrationPerform board bring-up, validation, debugging, and root cause analysisSupport DFM/DFA processes, including generation of fabrication and assembly documentation (BOMs, Gerbers)Participate in design reviews, testing, and product lifecycle improvements Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field4+ years of experience in PCB design and developmentStrong expertise in mixed-signal and RF circuit designExperience with high-density, high-speed PCB layoutsProficiency with tools such as Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro/OrCAD, ADS, LTspiceHands-on experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers)Experience with embedded systems and microcontrollers (e.g. STM32)Knowledge of communication protocols: I2C, SPI, UART, USB, EthernetFamiliarity with EMC/EMI design practices and testingStrong troubleshooting and analytical skillsStrong problem-solving and debugging capabilitiesAbility to manage multiple projects in fast-paced environmentsExcellent communication and documentation skillsSelf-starter with the ability to work independently and in teams Preferred QualificationsExperience with RF systems, GPS, or avionics hardwareExperience designing for aerospace, defense, or industrial applicationsExperience with FPGA or GPU-based systemsExperience working with MRP/ERP systems and working in a manufacturing environment\nCompany DescriptionMu-Del Electronics has led the way since 1967 with advanced IF/RF and Microwave Products and Amplifiers for the Defense Electronics, Aerospace, Telemetry and other high-end commercial industries.
