Your day at NTT DATA The Principal Client Project / Program Manager is a highly skilled subject matter expert, responsible for leading and directing concurrent client projects classified as standard or complex. This role may be involved in larger scale programs and responsible for delivery across multiple business areas, geographies and technologies. The primary responsibility of the Principal Client Project / Program Manager is to interface with all project stakeholders to take projects from original concept through to final implementation, including handing over to Operations (whether internal to the business or to the client's support operations). This role takes responsibility for the management of projects and program within more complex / partnership accounts and collaborates and engage with senior leadership involved in program delivery at the client site. In this instance the Principal Client Project / Program Manager leads the coordinated management of multiple related projects within a program to achieve the business objectives and ensure the strategic benefits are transitioned to the client organization. What you'll be doing Key Roles and Responsibilities: Leads direct concurrent standard or complex program/s, ensuring the management of multiple related projects directed towards a common objective. Engages with senior stakeholders to deliver program objectives from original concept through final implementation. Ensures satisfaction and manages escalations, acting as the single point of contact. Ensures that the project/program delivers as-sold solution, remains within the baselined budget, and is delivered on time whilst maintaining quality criteria and satisfaction. Manages delivery of the project/program, including rigorous scope control and change management. Documents and manages project/program risks and issues. Ensures clear and concise communications to all stakeholders. Provides pre-sales support by working with sales teams to scope and cost a project or program solution which includes the completion of a proposal. This may include presentations of our delivery approach as part of a tender process. Identifies opportunities and influences the sale by conducting a business conversation at senior levels, positioning NTT Ltd consulting and technical services offerings. Coordinates activities of the project teams through task delegation, resource assignment, and program management. Manages a team of project managers and implementation resources. Provides guidance, mentorship, and support to project teams, ensuring their effectiveness, productivity, and professional growth. Provides operational support and leadership, ensuring efficient and effective program execution. Identifies and ideates ways for efficiencies within a certain area, standardizing and scaling these for operational and strategic improvements. Provides strategic leadership to drive continuous improvement and innovation within programs. Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes: Strong program and project management skills, including the ability to plan, organize, and execute projects from initiation to completion. Ability to establish strong relationships with internal stakeholders. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Excellent team-building skills and ability to work in high-pressure environments. Ability to manage urgent and complex tasks simultaneously. Good business acumen and commercial skills. Passionate, strong initiative, self-driven with a commitment to succeed. Good influencing ability whilst taking a collaborative approach. Decisive with good attention to detail. Ability to promote program and project services to both internal stakeholders and external clients. Competent in program and project change management. Familiarity with the industry, domain, or technology related to the project / program. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and address issues that may arise during project /program implementation. Requires conceptual thinking and analysis of intangibles to understand advanced issues and implications to develop solutions with longer-term impacts. Academic Qualifications and Certifications: Advanced Project Management degree or equivalent with significant related experience. Relevant project management certifications preferably PMP. ITIL certification. Required Experience: Extensive project/program management experience preferably in a multi-national Professional Services environment. Extensive engagement experience. Extensive understanding of the project/program life cycle. Extensive competency in project/program change management. Extensive experience managing expectations when balancing alternatives against business and financial constraints.
