Manager Of Software EngineeringThis is your chance to change the path of your career and guide multiple teams to success at one of the world's leading financial institutions.As a Manager of Software Engineering at JPMorganChase within the Commercial and Investment Bank, Public Sector Lockbox, you lead multiple teams and manage day-to-day implementation activities by identifying and escalating issues and ensuring your team's work adheres to compliance standards, business requirements, and tactical best practices.Job responsibilitiesProvides guidance to immediate team of software engineers on daily tasks and activitiesSets the overall guidance and expectations for team output, practices, and collaborationAnticipates dependencies with other teams to deliver products and applications in line with business requirementsManages stakeholder relationships and the team's work in accordance with compliance standards, service level agreements, and business requirementsCreates a culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect for the team members and prioritizes diverse representationLead and inspire a team of entry-level to mid-level software engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.Oversee technical design, architecture, and implementation to ensure high-quality, scalable solutions.Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting, with the ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems.Create secure and high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems.Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, ensuring that design constraints are met during software code development.Required qualifications, capabilities, and skillsFormal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experienceExperience leading teams of technologists, with the ability to guide and coach teams to achieve goals aligned with strategic initiativesExperience with hiring, developing, and recognizing talentHands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and ensuring operational stabilityExperience leading technology projects and managing technologistSolid understanding of agile methodologies, application resiliency, and securityWorking proficiency with development toolsets like GIT/Bitbucket, JIRA, and CI/CD pipelines.Has to be a UC Citizen or Permanent Resident for 7 continuous yearsPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skillsExperience working at code levelProficiency in Java, REST, and microservices preferredHands on experience using LLMs, Agentic AI; Copilot in VSCode preferredA Government Security Clearance will be required for this position.
