Volunteer Program Coordinator - LoopTalk (Family Support Services)

The program provides structured pre-visit and post-visit support to help individuals and families prepare emotionally, communicate effectively, and process feelings after visits.LoopTalk is designed to promote emotional balance, stability, and resilience for children, caregivers, and loved ones affected by incarceration. Services are supportive and educational in nature and do not replace clinical therapy unless delivered by licensed professionals.Role OverviewThe Volunteer Program Coordinator will support the development and coordination of the LoopTalk program. This role is well suited for someone with experience or interest in family support services, reentry support, social services, or nonprofit program operations.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport coordination of LoopTalk pre-visit and post-visit support servicesAssist with onboarding and scheduling families for support sessionsHelp maintain program structure, workflows, and documentationCoordinate with facilitators, volunteers, or licensed providers as applicableSupport tracking of participation, outcomes, and program feedbackAssist with developing program materials and family-facing resourcesEnsure confidentiality and trauma-informed practices are upheldQualifications (Preferred, Not Required)Background or strong interest in family support, reentry services, social work, or nonprofit programsExperience with program coordination, peer support, or case management a plusStrong communication, organization, and empathy skillsAbility to work with sensitive and emotionally complex situationsTrauma-informed, nonjudgmental, and reliableComfortable working remotely and using scheduling or tracking toolsWhat We OfferMeaningful experience supporting families impacted by incarcerationOpportunity to help build and scale a compassionate support programFlexible remote schedule with consistent weekly hoursProfessional references and documentation of servicePotential transition to a paid role as funding becomes availableAdditional NotesDue to the nature of this program, volunteers may be required to complete a background check and sign a confidentiality agreement.
