This opportunity seeks a skilled Radiologic Technologist specializing in X-ray imaging to support a busy medical imaging department on a contract basis. The position will be based in Wellsburg, WV, providing comprehensive imaging services including general X-rays, fluoroscopy, operating room cases, and portable imaging.Schedule and Work Environment:Four 10-hour shifts per weekSteady afternoon and midnight shifts, with every other weekend midnight shift requiredThe department operates four imaging rooms: 3 general X-ray, 1 fluoroscopy, plus 2 portable units and 3 C-ArmsStaff coverage includes 6-7 technologists during day shifts, 3-4 on evenings, and 1 overnight techThis role floats between the general imaging department, fluoroscopy, and operating room cases Key Responsibilities:Perform approximately 110 imaging studies daily, including general X-rays, ortho and GI fluoroscopy, cystoscopy, and other OR imaging needsUtilize EMR (Community Works) and PACS (Intellirad/Intelliconnect) systems efficientlyOperate advanced imaging equipment, including GE AMX and DR Konica portables, Del Medical, Siemens, and Philips diagnostic rooms, and OEC C-armsProvide imaging support independently during overnight shiftsComply with departmental dress code; scrubs color optional with permanent staff emerald green Qualifications and Certifications:Active WV X-ray license and ARRT certification requiredBasic Life Support (BLS) certification mandatoryWV CARES registration to be completed prior to startMust possess a valid, unexpired driver's license (50-mile radius rule applies)Ability to handle general radiologic procedures, portables, fluoroscopy, and OR imaging independentlyFirst-time travelers welcome to apply Additional Information:Orientation includes 5 shifts with a preceptor for seamless integration into the teamRadiology director oversight with lead tech support during afternoon shiftsRadiologist coverage until 5 pm onsite; after-hours interpreted remotelyAbout Wellsburg, WV: Wellsburg is a charming city located along the Ohio River, combining small-town warmth with access to regional amenities.
