This role assists in ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation of compressor systems by performing preventive maintenance, basic diagnostics, and repair tasks. The position requires mechanical aptitude, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work in field environments under varying conditions.ResponsibilitiesAssist in the maintenance and repair of compressor packages and related equipmentPerform preventive maintenance (PM) activities and support planning and scheduling of maintenance tasksConduct basic diagnostics and troubleshooting on mechanical and electrical systemsProvide feedback on compressor performance and operational issuesSupport operation and reliability of compressor systems including engines and componentsAssist senior mechanics and support maintenance activities across multiple locations as neededMaintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities and repairsFollow all safety procedures, regulations, and operational standardsUse hand tools, power tools, and equipment safely and effectivelyOperate or assist with heavy equipment such as cranes and manlifts when requiredCommunicate effectively with team members and other personnel regarding maintenance activities and issuesSkillsBasic knowledge of gas compression processes and production equipmentMechanical aptitude with understanding of compressor systems and componentsEntry-level diagnostic and troubleshooting skills (mechanical and electrical)Familiarity with engines and compressor brands such as Waukesha, Ariel, and Caterpillar (preferred)Ability to read and interpret technical documents and proceduresStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsEffective verbal and written communication skillsTeamwork and collaborationSelf-motivation, initiative, and ability to work with minimal supervisionBasic computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent requiredTrade school, OEM training, or relevant industry experience preferredMinimum of 1 year of experience in compression, production, or related equipment maintenance (or equivalent training)Basic knowledge of safety procedures and regulatory requirementsValid driver's license with acceptable driving recordWorking Conditions & Physical RequirementsWork performed in outdoor environments, including extreme heat and coldExposure to high noise levels (hearing protection required)Potential exposure to hazardous materials under controlled conditionsFrequent standing (up to 75%) and occasional sitting (up to 25%)Ability to lift at least 10 lbs regularly and occasionally over 50 lbsClimbing ladders, stairs, and working at heights or in confined spacesAbility to stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl as requiredOperation of heavy equipment such as cranes and manliftsUse of required personal protective equipment (PPE), including FR clothing, hard hats, safety glasses, and steel-toed bootsAbility to respond to alarms and communicate effectively in person and via communication devicesJob Details:Location: Midkiff, TXPay: Level I $28.55/hr, Level II $38.93/hrSchedule: Monday-Friday
