In this role, you will take full ownership of designing, building, and governance-proofing business-critical integration flows (recipes) that seamlessly bridge automated actions across various SaaS platforms, internal legacy systems, and data warehouses.What we are looking for:3+ years of dedicated, hands-on enterprise production experience building with Workato. Deep expertise with Workato API management, lookup tables, callable recipes, and long-running job steps.Proven capability to build custom connectors from scratch using the Workato SDK (Ruby-based platform framework) when native connectors are insufficient.Comprehensive understanding of REST, SOAP, and GraphQL protocols, webhooks, authentication methodologies (OAuth2, API keys, JWT), and structural payload handling (JSON, XML).Mastery in designing advanced error-handling architectures within Workato (e.g., try/catch scopes, auto-retry loops, transactional rollbacks, and automated alert routing to Slack or PagerDuty).Solid familiarity writing highly optimized SQL queries to interact with databases or cloud warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery) within automated flows, alongside intermediate Ruby or Python skills for advanced data manipulation within recipes.Experience managing Workato environments (Dev, Test, Prod), implementing lifecycle management (ALM), tracking recipe version control, and auditing job logs.Nice-to-have:Active Workato Automation Pro I, II, or III certifications.Experience integrating complex enterprise ERP or HCM systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Workday, Salesforce).Background in data streaming platforms (Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ) or complementary iPaaS systems (MuleSoft, Boomi, Celigo).Solid grounding in data privacy and enterprise compliance policies (GDPR, HIPAA, SOC2).ResponsibilitiesMap, design, and implement end-to-end multi-app integration patterns, establishing centralized, reusable utility workflows.Audit legacy integrations to isolate, optimize, and eliminate inefficient workflows, minimizing execution latency and API throttling bounds.Expose internal workflows securely as managed API endpoints via the Workato API Platform for consumption by external applications.Define naming conventions, security guardrails, and role-based access controls across the enterprise Workato workspace.Partner directly with Business Operations, Product, Security, and Engineering departments to translate complex business needs into clean, automated infrastructure.What we offer:Get paid, not playedNo more unreliable clients.
