In this role, you will be responsible for integrating comprehensive security layers directly into the design, development, and architecture of embedded real-time software. You will act as a core technical gatekeeper, performing threat analysis, secure coding practices, and vulnerability mitigations across the entire product lifecycle to shield critical firmware from sophisticated vectors. Key Responsibilities: Integrate end-to-end security architectures into the design and development of embedded real-time software for electro-mechanical devices.Conduct systemic Threat Modeling and Threat Analysis to discover potential vectors and minimize attack surfaces.Implement and execute Vulnerability Mitigation strategies and secure coding methodologies throughout new and existing product lifecycles.Architect and configure Secure Boot structures, cryptographic primitives, and secure firmware update mechanisms.Manage and deploy Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) configurations, including key generation, digital signatures, and certificate lifecycles for hardware components. Essential Skills: Strong professional experience working as a Software or Firmware Security Engineer within an embedded systems environment.Deep technical hands-on knowledge of Embedded Cybersecurity constructs, including hardware-based security elements.Advanced understanding of Cryptography implementation (e.g., symmetric/asymmetric algorithms, hashing, encryption at rest/in transit).Mastery of Secure Boot protocols, firmware signing, and secure enclave integration.Strong background in writing and auditing secure low-level code (C/C++) for real-time applications. Desirable Skills: Experience working under stringent regulatory or compliance frameworks governing connected physical devices (e.g., medical, automotive, or industrial IoT security standards).Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Embedded Hardware Security Professional, or equivalent credentials.Familiarity with hardware-level debugging tools (JTAG, logic analyzers) and secure communication protocols.
