Software Engineer Project Lead

We are supporting a major state‑level healthcare technology initiative and seeking an IT Healthcare Consultant – Software Engineer / Project Lead to drive the implementation, integration, and optimization of multiple healthcare applications and systems.This role directly supports critical clinical operations and healthcare technology—ideal for someone experienced in EMR technologies, system integration, and large‑scale health IT environments.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and support the build, testing, implementation, and go‑live of healthcare applications (EHR, Lab Systems, PACS, Pharmacy Systems, Interfaces).Maintain and support healthcare IT infrastructure including apps, databases, templates, and reports.Troubleshoot and perform root‑cause analysis for EMR‑related issues.Create system reports for leadership and end users.Document workflows for clinical and mental health providers.Required Skills7+ years EMR experience (NextGen preferred)7+ years Mirth Lab SystemsExperience with HL7, FHIR, interoperability, and EMR integrationsHealthcare IT operations (7+ years)Experience in government or public sector environments preferredEducationBachelor’s degree in:Business AdministrationComputer ScienceMathematicsInformation ScienceHealth AdministrationBiological Scienceor related field, plus experience in health services, IT, or project management.Pre‑Employment RequirementsNationwide Criminal History Check (7 years)Credit CheckE‑Verify5‑Panel Drug ScreenCompliance documentation
