3rd/4th Grade Combo Class Teacher

Overview Emerge Berkeley Christian Academy is seeking a dedicated Combo Class Teacher to lead a smaller, more intimate 3rd/4th grade classroom. This role requires the ability to differentiate instruction across two grade levels simultaneously while fostering academic growth and spiritual development within a Christ-centered environment. Roles & Responsibilities Plan and deliver core curriculum (reading, writing, math, science, social studies) differentiated for both 3rd and 4th grade standards within a single classroom. Manage a combined classroom environment, including behavior management and age-appropriate expectations for both grade levels. Assess student progress and provide regular feedback to students and families. Integrate a biblical worldview and Christian values throughout instruction. Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress. Collaborate with other teachers and staff on curriculum planning and school-wide initiatives. Educational & Professional Requirements Must be at least 18 years old. Bachelor's degree required; Multiple Subject teaching credential (CA) preferred. Prior teaching experience, especially in combo/multi-grade or elementary classrooms, strongly preferred. Must pass a fingerprint-based criminal background check and provide proof of legal work authorization. Must complete TB clearance prior to employment. Must complete mandated reporter training as a condition of employment. Faith-Based Requirements Agreement with EBCA's Statement of Faith. Participation in a Christian church community.
