MCS Supply Chain Associate

Location:Onsite Thousand Oaks, CAEmployment Type: Contingent Worker (Contract, W2)Contract Length: 6 months (possible extension)Compensation: $28/$32 per hour (based on experience)Summary of the RoleJoin a fast-paced, compliance-driven team supporting clinical distribution operations for a big biopharma leader. As a Supply Chain Associate, you will manage clinical order fulfillment, coordinate logistics using SAP, and ensure the accurate, timely shipment of clinical materials. This hands-on, on-site role involves material handling, communication with internal partners, and strict adherence to SOPs and GMP requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesPick, review, pack, and prepare clinical materials for shipment per GMP and SOP standardsExecute inventory and shipment transactions using SAPReview orders and documentation for accuracy, compliance, and on-time deliveryStage outbound shipments and coordinate with planners and requestorsHandle materials and support internal warehouse movement and organizationPerform inventory counts and resolve discrepanciesAccurately document all material transactions and support metrics reportingOperate Powered Industrial Vehicles (PIVs) and lift up to 35 lbs as neededAssist with investigations, process improvements, and safety initiativesWork in cold storage environments when requiredRequired Experience & SkillsExperience within clinical supply chain, logistics, or warehousing operationsProficiency with material handling and relevant systems (e.g., SAP, Excel)Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracyFamiliarity with GMP practices and SOP complianceEffective communication and collaboration abilitiesAbility to work on-site, operate PIVs, and perform light physical tasksPreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, or related fieldExperience with SAP, Excel, and SmartsheetPrior experience in GMP-regulated, compliance-focused environmentsDemonstrated problem solving within a clinical supply chain settingTop 3 Must Have SkillsGMP Knowledge and SOP ComplianceExperience within Clinical Supply Chain, Warehousing, or Logistics OperationsMaterial Handling, System Proficiency, and Problem SolvingDay-to-Day ResponsibilitiesSupport clinical distribution operations on a Monday–Friday 6:30 AM–3:30 PM shiftParticipate in daily team huddles to review workload and prioritiesPick and prepare materials for shipment in compliance with regulatory requirementsExecute and verify SAP transactions, review orders and documentationStage and meter shipments, coordinate with planners and requestorsHandle inventory counts, discrepancies, investigations, and documentationOperate PIVs, handle materials up to 35 lbs, and work in cold storage when neededAid in process improvement and safety enhancement projectsBasic QualificationsHigh school/GED and 2 years work or military experienceAssociates and 6 months work or military experienceThis posting is for Contingent Worker, not an FTE
