Executive Assistant To The President & COOSocial Finance is a national nonprofit and registered investment adviser (SF Advisors, LLC). We work with the public, private, and social sectors to create partnerships and investments that measurably improve lives. The OpportunitySocial Finance is currently seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to provide direct support to our President & COO and typically two or more members of our Leadership Team. This opportunity is ideal for a mission-driven, highly organized professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and is passionate about using their strategic and operational skills to support leadership in the social impact space.
ResponsibilitiesProactively manage executives' complex and often evolving calendars by identifying and addressing scheduling conflicts, ensuring a balanced cadence to each day and week, allowing for buffer time to prepare for and debrief meetings; ensuring ad hoc meetings are properly prioritized against recurring ones
Provide confidential support for the President & COO's email inbox, including flagging urgent messages, organizing lower-priority correspondence, and preparing draft responses as needed
Complete all administrative work on behalf of the executives, including: monthly expense reports; research and book travel itineraries; be on call to handle last-minute changes in travel and schedule as necessary
Support the President & COO in all aspects of Client Relationship Management (CRM) including tracking of contacts, recurring meeting planning, and attending meetings as necessary
Support executives with basic tech troubleshooting and partner with IT to address and resolve higher-level technical issues
Support planning and execution of the annual multi-day Social Finance Offsite retreat in Boston, including logistics coordination, vendor management, travel arrangements, agenda development, onsite operations, and post-event follow-up
Plan and manage key events such as the annual Boston office holiday party, staff retreat-related activities and other team-building or Boston officespecific events
Serve on the Boston Office Culture Committee, including attending bi-weekly volunteer meetingscontributing to agendas, capturing notes, partnering with office leadership, and advancing initiatives that strengthen office culture
As part of the overall administrative team, provide back-up support for fellow administrative staff (e.g., staff reception occasionally, provide interim calendar management for executives); provide additional general support as needed (e.g., managing team-wide calendar of recurring management meetings and events, supporting office management, planning team-wide events and lunches, providing basic tech support)
As appropriate, identify additional area(s) of focus based on desired professional growth and organizational need (e.g., Knowledge Management, firm-wide Client Relationship Management, Office Management)
QualificationsSocial Finance is seeking a dynamic individual with strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills. Qualifications and requirements include:
5+ years of professional experience, at least 3+ years as an Executive Assistant to one or more senior-level executives
Bachelor's degree OR equivalent experience providing direct support to an executive
Exceptional attention to detail across all communications and deliverables
Willingness and eagerness to learn about and engage deeply with a complex business and extensive set of professional relationships
Experience planning and coordinating events, including logistics, vendor management, attendee communications, and onsite support
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams; familiarity with CRM systems a plus
Highest commitment to ethics, integrity, and confidentiality proven experience holding confidential information for an executive
Ability to anticipate and proactively address the needs of others
Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines; to work independently; to stay organized and poised under pressure
Flexibility in the face of a fast-paced organization whose administrative support needs may change over time
Ability to maintain a consistent and reliable in-person presence in the Boston office at a minimum of 2-3 days per week
Flexibility and willingness to be present in the Boston office on a regular and occasionally ad hoc basis, consistent with the expectations we set for all of our Administrative professionals

SalarySocial Finance uses a lockstep compensation model for purposes of equity and transparency - we strive for everyone coming in at a given level to be paid equitably. For this position, the starting base salary is $98,000, however, during the interview process, we will take into account a candidate's full work experience and may adjust the job title, and commensurate starting salary, as appropriate. At this level, employees typically receive a $2,500 salary increase annually and are eligible to participate in our firmwide annual bonus program. Bonuses are typically between 5-10%, though bonuses are not guaranteed and are dependent on both organizational and individual performance.
