Regular System Technician
Project Description:The mission of Vision Systems Product Line is to be the World Leader for Vision Systems within the automotive industry by developing innovative camera systems and providing situational awareness solutions using cutting edge technology. Our Technician will support the development and testing of our systems at various stages of the program. Among other tasks, the technician will contribute to the team by troubleshooting, building test fixtures, performing vehicle retrofit as needed.Responsibilities:Install the Customer's products in the test and data capture vehiclesFollow up the vehicle retrofit plan which includes timing and budget estimations.Coordinate with other Customer teams or suppliers for the development/integration of new tools for the required setup.Participate in the setup definition (BOM) to be used for In-Vehicle testing, scene capture and data logger requirements based on actual Customer's standard and/or new technologies.Select the most appropriate component/supplies for various tasks.Create or update the documentation related to usage and setup architecture of the system.Maintain the planning of tasks and deliveries.Support the test engineers in troubleshooting of test equipment and systemsSoldering tasks to repair, rework or update camera ECUs / PCB'sBuild various harnessesDesign and build ECU flash programming fixtures via. in-circuit test interface. Develop post-build follow-up, tests and repairs of these fixtures.Build, maintain, and troubleshoot system test engineering workstations.Support the team with test drivesApply 5SMandatory Skills Description:Education/TrainingAssociates Degree in Electronics or related fieldSkills and AbilitiesShall be able to read and design schematic circuits.Shall be able to use electronic equipment and tools (multimeter, oscilloscope, power supply etc)Shall be able to use computation packages (Word, PowerPoint, email etc)Shall have great communication skillsProfessional Experience5 years experience in a similar role, experience with soldering, repair/rework of PCBAs, wiring, and test setups.The person must be able to demonstrate a level of commitment, initiative and quality of workmanship required within an R&D Environment.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbalConfident, articulate, self motivated, determined & energetic.Self-starter, motivated individual who can work alone, with little supervision.Other SpecificationsA full clean Driving License is mandatoryAbility to work autonomously, and organize task priorities to meet project objectives.Strong analytical and technical documentation skills.High degree of innovation and a mindset of continuous learning.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Nice-to-Have Skills Description:Experience with CAN communication monitoring devices is a plus.Experience with ADAS products is a plus.Experience with GPS reference systems is a plus.Experience with data logger devices like: Velodyne, LuxMeters, CAN gateways, Vector data logging, etc is a plus.Experience in using National Instruments PXI hardware is a plus.Automotive experience preferredExperience with vision systems (camera, imager technology, radar, lidar) preferredShop tool experience (band saw, grinder, pedestal drill, mill, lathe etc.) preferred3D printing /CNC machining experience preferredLanguages:English: C1 Advanced
