Program ManagerSunnyvale, CAHybrid (Tues/Wed/Thurs onsite)Expectations of the Role Client is seeking an experienced contract Program Manager to provide seamless continuity coverage across two key projects and portfolio-level reporting responsibilities. The ideal candidate will hit the ground running with minimal ramp time, integrate quickly with existing team rhythms, and maintain the consistency and cadence our stakeholders expect. They will work closely with an embedded Engineering Program Manager (ePM) on the engineering side, so strong cross-functional partnership is essential.Responsibilities & Duties* Weekly Reporting - Own the preparation and delivery of weekly status reports for both projects and consolidated portfolio-level reporting, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and on-time distribution to leadership and stakeholders* Project Tracking - Maintain and manage detailed project plans, milestone tracking, and schedule management across both projects; proactively flag deviations and drive corrective actions* Risk & Mitigation Management - Identify, document, and actively track risks and issues; develop and maintain a risk register with mitigation and contingency plans* Cross-Functional Coordination - Drive coordination across multiple teams (engineering, design, operations, etc.), ensuring dependencies are visible, handoffs are smooth, and blockers are resolved quickly* Stakeholder Alignment - Facilitate and maintain alignment across cross-functional stakeholders through structured communication, meeting facilitation, and clear documentation of decisions and action items* ePM Collaboration - Partner closely with the Engineering Program Manager to ensure technical workstreams are reflected accurately in overall program status and plans* General Program Management - Support other standard program management functions as needed, including meeting facilitation, agenda management, retrospectives, and process documentationRequired Skills/Must Have:* 7+ years of program/project management experience, ideally in a fast-paced tech or product-driven environment* Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities* Strong proficiency in project tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Wrike)* Experience owning executive-facing status reports and portfolio dashboards* Solid risk management skills - identification, documentation, and active mitigation tracking* Excellent cross-functional coordination and stakeholder communication skills* Ability to ramp up quickly with minimal onboarding - prior contractor or backfill experience a plus* Strong written and verbal communication skillsNice To Have:* Experience collaborating with or alongside an Engineering PM or technical program management function* Familiarity with portfolio-level reporting frameworks* PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certification* Background in Tech and Employee-facing Internal productivity tools/SaaS* Experience working in a matrixed organization
