Horizontal/Vertical CNC Milling Technician — M&G Code Programmer
Where: Novi, Michigan | Shift: Night | Type: Contract through 10/18/2026 | Pay: ~$28.50–$32.50/hr based on proven work historyIs this you?Do you enjoy programming right at the machine using M & G code?Are you comfortable switching between vertical and horizontal CNC mills?Have you worked with large mills or even a large boring machine?Do you thrive on holding close tolerances and delivering a great surface finish?What you'll handle on the night shiftSet up CNC machining centers; run standard, repetitive sequences and verify routine programs.Program at the controller (X, Y, Z) and adjust offsets to keep parts to spec.Select, measure, assemble, and set tooling with precision instruments.Mount, align, and secure tools, attachments, and fixtures using hand tools.Read blueprints (imperial/metric) to determine operations, specs, and dimensions.Measure finished components with gauges, templates, and fixtures; confirm conformance.Watch control panel displays; spot malfunctions; compare readings to specs.Swap worn or broken tools; clean machines, tooling, and parts.Report daily output; document non-conformances; engage in continuous improvement.What you’ll bring4+ years of CNC milling experience (large-format milling and boring machine exposure is a plus).High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training preferred.Ability to work independently from written and verbal direction.Solid math, problem-solving, and blueprint-reading skills (imperial and metric).Why this roleIt's hands-on, on-machine programming with real ownership of set-ups, quality, and throughput—ideal for a technician who likes to see the impact of their craft every shift.ComplianceA successful candidate will be subject to a background check and must receive satisfactory results of the same, as a condition of joining the team.Application integritySubmitting accurate and complete information is required.
