Slot Floor Technician (55026)
Pay Rate: $22.50 an hourSUMMARY: To maintain, repair and place video slot machines and related gaming equipment throughout the casino. Responsible for a high level of guest service as described in your departments guest service standards. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESHandle machine related customer issues promptlyInstall, move, test, repair and maintain slot and electronic/electro-mechanical components, sub-systems and systemsReview, interpret and verify slot pay tables, settings and jackpots of pre-established amountsTroubleshoot and repair slots and associated player tracking system to minimize down time and maximize profitability of the gaming operationIndependently and/or cooperatively perform advanced tasks including but not limited to RAM clears, setup and configuration of software, progressive system(s) hardware and software installation, configuration and troubleshootingAssist in the ongoing training and development of other team membersMaintain security of company assetsPerform assigned tasks in compliance with applicable regulationsKNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIESKnowledge and Certification Required:High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience1 year of electronic troubleshooting or computer repairPreferred:2 year technical degree or 2 years equivalent experience2 years mechanical and electromechanical systems experienceSkills Required:Accurate and detail-orientedStrong organizational skillsProficient computer skills Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skillsStrong mechanical aptitudePreferred:Proficiency in the use of hand tools, power tools and electrical/electronic test equipmentProven soldering skillsAbilities Required:Ability to follow established dress code policies and practice good personal hygieneAbility to interact with guests, coworkers and management in a professional and courteous mannerAbility to independently or as a team complete multiple tasks in a professional mannerAbility to serve both internal and external customersAbility to troubleshoot, maintain and repair specialized equipmentAbility to adapt quickly to changing prioritiesPreferred:Proven ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams and identify electronic componentsREQUIRED TRAININGTreasure Island guest service trainingDepartment orientation, including safety and policies and proceduresAny position-related training as determined by department managerPHYSICAL DEMANDS Must be able to walk and / or stand and sit for long periods throughout the dayMust have a good sense of balance, and be able to bend and kneel and stoopMust be able to push, pull and grasp objects routinelyMust have the ability to independently lift 25+ pounds occasionallyMust have manual dexterity necessary to manipulate electronic equipmentMust be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist motionsMust have good eye hand coordinationWORKING ENVIRONMENTSlot Technician shop, gaming floor and convention center environment including flashing lights, frequent loud noises and cigarette smokeMust be able to work in cramped, tight quartersMust be willing to work a flexible schedule including all shifts, weekends and holidaysOccasionally overtime may be requiredOccasionally must deal with angry or hostile individualsHigh volume direct public contact
