Radiation Therapy PhysicistRequired Cert: ABR Required: HDR SRS SBRT TBI IORT Required: Standard radiation cases with higher volume of breast and prostate. Others include lung, breast, hepatobiliary, brain, multiple myeloma, sarcomas, etc. Performs the duties of quality assurance, calibration, repair, and if necessary, communication with outside vendors in relation to repairs of radiation therapy equipment. Communicates and collaborates with the appropriate radiation oncology team about equipment status and develops a mutual plan of action when equipment downtime is known and/or anticipated. Performs any other duties that may be deemed necessary for the optimal performance of the Department of Physics. Radiation therapy treatments are performed on a daily basis, as such principal functions including, but not limited to, calibration, quality assurance, etc. are to be done after normal business hours.
